Figs and Berries over Greek Yogurt

This is an ideal multipurpose snack for those of us mindful eaters craving a little something sweet or needing a protein-rich post workout snack or even a quick breakfast …..don’t have to look much further…..Greek yogurt to the rescue! This may be quick to make but it is bursting with good for you ingredients that are purposeful, healthy and gluten free.

You can use any Greek yogurt that you like but this right here is my current fave. The Greek Gods brand is very thick and creamy and just perfect! I always buy the plain unflavored version because I use it for so many things from sweet to savory and this allows me room for creativity!

Greek yogurt has fewer carbs, sugar, and double the protein of traditional yogurt making it a great choice for a post workout snack. Not to mention it is also a probiotic which helps promote a healthy digestive tract to keep you nice and regular 😉

So this is quite simple and can be put together in no time at all. Go ahead and grab yourself a nice bowl to enjoy this in and add 1/2 cup of greek yogurt. Drizzle the maple syrup over the yogurt and top with the fruit and nuts of your choice. Here I have used fresh figs and blueberries. Fresh figs are just divine but they are only in season for a very short time in the summer so if you don’t have them readily available feel free to substitute with your favorite fruit. Some of my favorites to use here are strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mangos, and peaches.
Top with nuts and unsweetened coconut flakes and you are ready to devour 🙂

Enjoy your yummy dessert….I mean super healthy snack!

Below are some affiliate links to some of the products I use. “Let’s do Organic” unsweetened coconut flakes have a great texture due to being so very finely shredded. I have purchased other brands at grocery stores that are very thick and chewy and I just don’t like those for this purpose at all, so this would be the kind I recommend.
